How I style A North Dallas kitchen for fall

I love to welcome cooler temperatures in North Dallas with fresh décor in a kitchen. I prefer a more subtle fall look, so I choose things that can work all year but when put together give a definite autumnal mood.

HOW I DECORATE INTERIOR DESIGN CLIENTS’ KITCHENS FOR FALL:

  • BRASS ACCENTS- They are warm and feel traditional so work well in autumn. For our interior design clients this can mean swapping cabinet hardware or selecting decor and accent lighting in a warm metallic.

  • PATTERNED RUG- This one from FLOR Squares in the Check It Out pattern is a favorite because it has checkered cutting board vibes, so it goes well with cooking and fall.

  • BRANCHES IN DARKER SHADES OF GREEN- The leaves don’t have to be dead or turning colors to give a fall vibe. Magnolia branches are something I often use in interior design projects in the fall and winter because of the brown underside of the leaves.

  • PURPLE FLOWERS- We usually think of the colors red, orange, and yellow for fall, but purple fits just as well while being less typical.

  • ART IN MOODY COLORS- it can be of anything; the main feature is colors that are on the darker side and muted.

Brooke Bundy

I am an interior designer who is lucky enough to have a business with my twin sister. My favorite way to come up with a design is to use favorite places, people, and memories as the inspiration. I live in Frisco Texas with my husband and our three teenaged children, who are my most rewarding interior design clients. I love Andy’s, podcasts, reading and tv, especially while sitting in bed. My favorite room to design is the living room because it serves so many purposes. My goal is for your home to feel cozy when you are alone, spacious when you are throwing a party, and to give you a confidence boost every time you walk in the door.
