what to expect from our interior design service

step 1: we start by gathering information

When you book our Design Plan service, we start by gathering the information needed to put together your home’s design:

-Photos of the rooms you are wanting help with, plus any adjoining rooms

-A video walk-through of your home to give a good sense of the layout

-Answers to a questionnaire

-Inspiration photos and/or link to your Pinterest boards

-Measurements of the rooms we will be working on

Depending on your specific project, we may request additional information.

If you are a local client, Brooke will schedule an initial appointment to visit your home and take the needed photos and measurements. If you are working with us remotely, you will take the photos and measurements using directions we will send you.

step 2: Brooke creates the design plan

Using the information she gathered, Brooke will create the design plan, including the layout for furniture and decor. She will create mood boards for each room (up to 5 boards total) that represent the style, mood, color palette, and ideal furniture and accessories to achieve the design. The items on these boards all have links to purchase and all the details you will need to know when ordering (size, color, etc).

Depending on the size of your home, this phase takes anywhere from 2-6 weeks. It will feel quiet from your perspective, but that’s because Brooke is busy designing. If she has questions or needs clarification on anything she will reach out.

Step 3: Design Presentation

At your scheduled appointment Brooke will go room by room, starting at the entryway, and discuss the options for furniture layout and how to make each space more functional. Next she will go over how to style each area. Using answers from your Questionnaire, she will give specific ideas for how to decorate in a way that connects to places, people, and memories that are important to you. She also answers questions and gives solutions to problems. This appointment can be done in person or virtually if you do not live locally.

After your appointment Brooke will finalize the mood boards and notes. These plus a list of extra decorating tips, and a list of some of her favorite places to shop for different types of items are then sent to you via email. Most of the time she is able to send these items over within two to three business days following the appointment.

Step 4: You Make Purchases and implement ideas


The time that this phase takes really depends on you, and we are fine with whatever your timeline looks like. You have three months following your design presentation appointment to reach out to Brooke via email with any questions that come up as you are making purchases and working with any necessary trades.


STEP 5 - styling

In the last step of the service, Brooke returns to your home to arrange your new and existing decor items.

WHEN YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE LAST step in this SERVICE, YOU GET TO ENJOY YOUR "NEW" HOME!

This is the part where you get to go back to your normal life! Except everything about it feels even better because of the beautiful, more functional back drop you have created for it to happen in.
