throwback thursday
This is Joan, and in this picture, Brooke and I were about 18 and we had just wallpapered the guest bathroom at our parents' house. We didn't feel ready for anything too intense, so we bought a type of wallpaper that you tear into pieces and put up in random overlaps. It was tan and cream colored, and I think it was supposed to look like a textured stone or something, and kind of flow well with the fact that it was torn pieces.
It looked terrible when we finished (that’s it in the background of the picture!), but we were so proud of ourselves.
The wallpaper project gave us so much confidence we decided to paint the kitchen cabinets next. I wish I could find a picture of that process and the results - the paint started peeling off just a couple days later!
We've learned a lot since then!
